Brothers
Now that he’s not sick anymore, Ben has been very interested in holding his little brother. He does a pretty good job, and he seems so proud of being the big brother. 🙂

…just not always at night. 🙂
We’re really doing pretty well. This whole second kid thing — we’re experienced. We’re relaxed. We think we know what we’re doing. We’re tired, yeah, but we can cope.
When we saw the midwife yesterday, Timothy weighed 9lbs 14oz. That’s up 1lb 4oz in exactly one week. Guess he’s following in his big brother’s footsteps when it comes to weight gain!
Ben’s been handling the whole big brother thing quite well too. He seems quite proud of his baby brother. Unfortunately, he’s been sick this last week, so we’ve had him home from preschool and had to try to keep him away from the baby. Poor kid, that’s been hard for him.
Arrived today — A boy, 9 lb,1 oz. 21″ long. 5:43am. Everyone is doing well.
There is no name yet.
The booties.
Front of Ben’s quilt.
It’s hard to see in this photo, but the main patterned fabric is all yellow and green leaves with thin red outlines, and the border and binding are red to match.
Back of Ben’s quilt.
You can see the quilting pattern better here — basically I quilted around each of the leaf squares that doesn’t look like it has a yellow or green border. The fabric is just a really small yellow, red and blue patterned print.
And, of course, the belly at 41 weeks.
